Civil Rights

Civil Rights are the rights of individuals to receive equal treatment and to be free from unfair treatment or discrimination in a number of settings, including employment, education, housing, and access to public facilities. Civil Rights ensure the protection of personal liberties such as freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, the right to privacy, and the right to vote. These rights are foundational to the principles of democracy and are often protected under national constitutions and international human rights agreements.
