Restorative Justice

Challenging oppressive policies that criminalize poverty, police mental health, and perpetuate the prison industrial complex. Prisons represent more than just physical spaces—they are symbols of punitive frameworks that perpetuate cycles of exploitation, violence, and death.

Shift from mass incarceration policies that profit off of forced labor towards
-Abolish private prisons that perpetuate slavery and carceral violence
-Mandate rehabilitation and education programs for incarcerated peoples
-Implement comprehensive healthcare and security for imprisoned elders, pregnant people, and those struggling with mental health crises
-Advocate for incarcerated youth and their families
-Expand social work funding for school counselors and case workers
-Restore credibility within vulnerable communities through enrichment and education

Abolition, in this context, is about uprooting punitive (eco)systems and replacing them with systems designed to heal and rebuild. Reimagining justice means creating new pathways where accountability is coupled with compassion, and where the dignity of every individual is upheld.
